Enduring Materials Setup Instructions

Step 1: Go to Activities > Add New

 

(Note: If the Activity has been mapped from the Application, search for the Activity in the 'Search' field. )

 

 

 

Step 2: Enter required information and click 'Save'

 

Type= Enduring materials

 

Public  = Yes. If you want this to be made available to the public. Note: Set up as Public = No, Private, until you complete your session set up.

 

Claim Credit Open Access = No

 

Registration On= No (even when there is fees involved)

Note: Add all your evaluations to the Session instead of Activity.

 

 

 

 

Step 3: Go to Sessions > Add New

 

(Note: If the Activity has been mapped from the Application, Session also gets mapped along with it. So search for the Session in the 'Search' field.)

 

 

Step 4: Enter required information, select the Activity for the Session

Type =  Enduring Material

Add Pretest/ Post test and Evaluation forms(Note: For Enduring Materials add your Session evaluation here)

Online Course  = Yes

Public = Yes

 

Step 5: Click the 'Manage Documents' button to add the materials for the course

 

 

 

Step 6: Click the 'Upload Document' button

 

 

Enter the required information and flag Approved = Yes, Public Use = Yes with one of the following options for your materials:

 

• Filename: for uploading electronic files (e.g., PDF, PowerPoint)
• URL: for linking to an external website.

If the files are small enough you can just choose the file from your computer and upload it. Any file that is uploaded above must be downloaded to view.

 

Note: HighMarks does not host media files. So, we suggest you host larger audio and video files on other platforms and provide access to them through HM.

 

Instead of downloading you can embed them into the preview section. To embed external multimedia on the CME web page use the HTML element/tag  '<iframe>' . Examples below – ·  Replace the "website" part with the external website where the media file is hosted. For you tube videos copy the unique code.

Step 7: Search and find the Activity you created 

 

 

 

Step 8: From the Activity, click on 'Meeting Times'

 

 

 

Step 9: Click the 'Add New Meeting Times' button

 

 

 

Enter the required information and flag Parent = My Credits Deadline (a.k.a. View CME)

 

 

NOTE: the 'Starts On' date should be the actual date you want the online course to display on the website (you may need to enter a past date to test on the website before going officially live)

 

 

 

How to add Course Fees/Registration Product

 

 

From the Activity, click on 'Manage Activity Products'

 

 

Click on the 'Add Product' button

 

 

For the course fee, enter the required fields and:

 

• Flag Product Type = Attendee Registration Purchase
• Select the correct 'Event' (a.k.a. Session) from the drop-down

 

 

For Discount Codes, enter the required fields and:

 

• Flag Product Type = Discounts
• Select the correct 'Event' (a.k.a. Session) from the drop-down
• Enter the Promotion Code (for users to enter when registering)
• Enter the Promotion Code Limit (number of times this discount can be used in total)

 

 

Multiple Products: 

 

When you have multiple Products attached to an Enduring Material Event/Session , your site has to be configured to show multiple products in this EM Registration flow. Please reach out to your Project Manager to turn on this configuration on your site.
